Denver's Huge Downtown Mixed-Use Project Kicks Off

A Real Boost for the City
Just last month Denver broke ground on this massive mixed-use development right in the heart of downtown. It will mix new apartments, offices, shops, and a big public park. Seeing the first cranes go up already feels like the city is moving forward in a big way.

More Homes and Jobs Coming
They say it will create thousands of construction jobs plus long-term positions once everything opens. Extra housing is badly needed around here, so I’m hoping a good chunk stays reasonably priced instead of all luxury units.

They Did Think About Green Space
The plans include lots of trees, walking paths, and energy-efficient buildings, which is a nice change from some older projects. It should make the area more livable instead of just another concrete jungle.

What do you folks think? Will this actually help with housing and traffic, or is downtown already too crowded? Drop your comments below – I’d love to hear from people who live or work near there.
